Gary is a Brooklyn-born artist based in New York. After losing both hands in an accident when he was 11, Gary taught himself how to hold and draw with a pencil. He went on to attend the High School of Art & Design in New York City where he received his training in drawing, painting, sculpture, design, printmaking and photography. Upon graduation, Gary was accepted into the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He explored all media available and eventually pursued his love for design. After three decades as a Designer-Art Director, Gary thought it was the perfect time to take a step forward and pick up that pencil again. He is exploring media such as painting, sculpture, installation and “what’s next.” Gary holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and would like to thank Silas Rhodes, Marshall Arisman, Richard Wilde and Jack Mariucci for their mentoring.
